Hyper-V remote manager in VMware Fusion

Problem

• Error message: "RPC-Server is unavailable. Unable to establish communication between ..."

You might find that it won't connect to your Hyper-V server, even though you have the required permissions and/or be in the same domain. This has something todo with the way VMware Fusion transmits network traffic via NAT.

Solution

If you change your VMware Fusion networking settings for your VM to Bridged Networking it will connect just fine.
